Sheikh Mohammed declares, “We delivered what we promised,” as Dubai Metro welcomes two billion passengers.

The popular public transportation system carried a total of two billion passengers on Sunday, and the Dubai Ruler recalled that the concept of Dubai Metro was unfamiliar to the region when it was introduced. The system has a fleet of 129 modern trains that travel around 53 stations.

His Majesty Sheik Mohammed canister Rashid Al Maktoum, VP and Head of the state of the UAE and Leader of Dubai, praised the accomplishment on Sunday in a tweet.

 

Sheikh Mohammed posted on Twitter: The possibility of the Dubai Metro is novel in the locale. We took a risk, made a bold decision, and delivered on our promises, despite some disagreements.

“Since its opening on September 9, 2009, the number of passengers using the Dubai Metro has increased to 2 billion today. With 129 trains and 53 stations, Dubai Metro serves more than 600,000 passengers daily and is 99.7% on time.

 

It operates a fleet of 129 modern trains that travel between 53 stations at an impeccable 99.7% punctuality rate.
