Yemen rush during noble cause dissemination kills 85

Houthi officials claimed that one of the deadliest stampedes in a decade occurred on Thursday at a charity distribution event in war-torn Yemen. The incident took place inside a school where aid was being distributed. More than 80 people were killed and hundreds were injured.

The nation’s most recent tragedy occurred just a few days before the Eid Al Fitr holiday, which marks the end of Ramadan.

 

A Houthi security official stated that at least “85 were killed and more than 322 were injured” following the stampede in the capital’s Bab Al Yemen district.

“Ladies and kids were among the dead,” he told AFP on state of obscurity since he was not approved to address the media.
